The Big Bash League has today unveiled the tournament dates for the upcoming Weber WBBL and KFC BBL seasons, coinciding with the opening of nominations for both the WBBL and BBL Overseas Player Drafts.
Weber WBBL|09: Thursday, October 19 – Saturday, December 2 (The Final)
KFC BBL|13: Thursday, December 7 – Wednesday, January 24 (The Final)
From today, players from around the world can nominate for the Weber WBBL|09 and KFC BBL|13 Draft via an online nomination portal, including their availability for part or all of the tournament.
As previously confirmed, KFC BBL|13 will feature a reduced 44-match schedule with the Weber WBBL|09 fixture remaining at 59 games.

“The club welcomes today’s announcements from the league regarding the upcoming tournament dates for both Weber WBBL|09 and KFC BBL|13 and the opening of the nomination portal for the Overseas Player Drafts.
“We saw some of the very best that the Big Bash League has to offer last summer, and we know the exciting opportunities that lay ahead for the Thunder in both WBBL|09 and BBL|13.”

“We are also pleased to unveil the season dates for both Weber WBBL|09 and KFC BBL|13. With a full summer of cricket ahead, the Big Bash League will be leading the way with another thrilling WBBL season across the country in October and November.
“The dates of the KFC BBL season will again compliment the overall shape of this summer’s cricket schedule and culminate with finals well within the school holidays. The start of the season will also present some unique opportunities to engage with communities, connect with fans and introduce exciting new initiatives which will be announced in due course.
