Sydney Sixers WBBL head coach Ben Sawyer has been appointed as the NSW Breakers’ Assistant Coach.

Sawyer, who has coached the Sixers to four Women’s Big Bash League finals for two titles during the five-year history of the competition, is excited to be part of the Breakers program full-time. Ben will remain Sixers WBBL head coach.

“I’ve had a variety of part time roles with the Sixers, the Emerging Blues and the Breakers,” Sawyer said.

“Being full-time I’ll be able to get to know the players even better, particularly the younger girls in the Breakers, and not just rely on other opinions.”

Since late 2018, Sawyer has also worked and travelled with the Australian Women’s Cricket Team as an assistant coach to head coach Matthew Mott in a part time capacity.
