Pavé Sports apparel to provide cycling kit to all London to Paris riders.

The Professional Cricketers Trust is partnering with Pavé Sports apparel who will provide customised performance cycling gear to all entrants into the Trust’s London to Paris Bike Ride.

The performance and endurance based cycling apparel brand will supply all the riders with their premium cycling kit. Each item is crafted from the finest Italian fabrics and designed to provide the support and comfort needed by the cyclists for this endurance event.

The Official Kit Partner of the Trust Bike Ride will be providing Professional Cricketers’ Trust customised Jerseys and Gilets that will enhance the riding experience.

The challenge begins on 10 October 2023, coinciding with World Mental Health Day. Providing the perfect opportunity to bring mental health to the forefront of people’s minds, the players’ charity will use this day to highlight awareness needed to raise funds to combat the growing trend of welfare and wellbeing issues through a bucket list charity challenge endurance ride.

Pavé are passionate about mental health support and wants to empower individuals to prioritise mental wellbeing and foster open conversations about mental health challenges. Therefore the provision that the Trust offers current and former players and their immediate families really resonates with Pavé as a brand.

Pavé have also designed an exclusive cycling apparel range for the Trust with 25% of proceeds to be donated back to the players’ charity.

The Trust was created to support the life-long health and wellbeing of past and present cricketers and their immediate families. As part of the professional cricket’s leading charity, the Trust funds life-changing assistance through expert advice, rehabilitation programmes and a dedicated 24-hour Confidential Helpline.

The successes of these services have ensured that the Trust’s members are well looked after and their inspirational journeys will be the foundation for the efforts of each cyclist that they will endure on their journey from London to Paris.

The training for the ride and the challenge itself will serve as a way to alleviate stress, anxiety and help with the overall mental and physical health of the riders.

The last bike ride to take place in aid of the Trust saw 47 riders travel from Headingley to Lord’s in 2021, raising a phenomenal £75,000.

Rob Lynch, PCA CEO and Professional Cricketers’ Trust Board Member, said: “We’re delighted to have the support of Pavé for the Trust London to Paris Bike Ride. As we share a common purpose, it is very important to us knowing that Pavé holds mental health support in such high regard and that the help the Trust provides really resonates with them as a company. Partnerships such as this are so important to the Trust and we’re extremely grateful to Pavé for providing us with world class cycling apparel for what is going to be a bucket list ride to Paris.”

Rob Jones, Worcestershire CCC, said: “All the bike rides that I’ve done for the Trust have been great fun and they raise money for a really good cause. The cricket community is like a family and to know that the Professional Cricketers’ Trust is there to support players and their immediate families whenever they need it is really comforting. I’m looking forward to receiving my Pavé cycling kit so I can look the part on the ride to Paris.”

Mark Ewing, Pavé Managing Director, said: “Through this partnership with the Trust, our commitment to supporting mental health awareness is not just talk; it is the core essence of what Pavé stands for. We truly believe in harnessing the power of cycling to break barriers and encourage open conversations about mental health. By advocating mental wellbeing, we want to create a transformative movement where the brand not only supports our clients through the creation of premium cycling apparel but goes beyond this by giving back to the community we serve. We aim to inspire compassion, understanding, and be the driver behind positive change within our community.”
