Jeremy Bray is interim national coach of the Dutch women’s team during the European Championship qualifiers that will be played in Desert Springs (Spain) from September 4-13. Jeremy will temporarily take over this position in the absence of Shane Deitz who has assumed the role of head coach of the West Indies women’s team from September 1.

Bray was born in Australia in 1973, but also has an Irish passport. He was an Irish international in the past. In his active cricket career, Bray (49) was a talented left-handed batsman who scored a World Cup century against Zimbabwe in 2007. Bray retired from international cricket in 2010, after which he became a coach, including the Irish women’s team.

In 1997, Bray played in the Netherlands. He made 993 runs for Kampong that year (avg. 55.17), including three centuries. With that, he was the fourth most successful batsman of the former Hoofdklasse (now called Topklasse).
