Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. CSA oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men and women, and is a full ICC member and SASCOC affiliate.

Free state Cricket Union is grateful to announce our partnership with Recon Tactical Services for the upcoming 2023/2024 cricket season. This partnership signifies more than just a collaboration, it represents unwavering commitment to championing talent, diversity, and the spirit of excellence in sports.

“We as Recon Tactical Services embark on this journey with the Free State Women’s Team with a sense of excitement and purpose. We are a company that is deeply rooted in the values of teamwork, discipline, and dedication and we see the same qualities reflected in the women’s cricket team.” commented Recon Tactical Services General Manager Wouter de Wet.

“This partnership goes beyond the boundaries of sports, it is about building a community of supporters, fans, and advocates who rally behind these remarkable women both on and off the field. We want everyone to join us this season in celebrating their achievements, sharing their stories, and being part of their inspiring journey.” Added Wouter.

“What an honour to align our much-loved Free State Cricket brand with Recon Tactical Services. We are now bringing together two organisations with a mutual objective for excellence and driving results, and a shared aim to push boundaries to change what’s possible.” commented Free State Cricket Chief Executive Officer Johan van Heerden.

“We’re thrilled for the years ahead and as we transition from playing in division 2 to division 1 and we’d like to assure our stakeholders, fans and players that our promise of excellence will always remain.” concluded Johan.

Recon Tactical Free State will kickstart the new season away to the DP World Lions in Johannesburg over the coming weekend.
