Sunbake, a leading provider of bread, buns, and rolls, with an extensive presence throughout South Africa, has proudly stepped up to sponsor cricket jerseys for the North West Cricket Hub. This collaboration exemplifies their commitment to support and grow their local communities by providing them with the required resources.

Sunbake’s Brand Manager, Hayley May said, “We are deeply passionate about the communities in which we operate, and we feel really honoured whenever we have the opportunity to give back, regardless of the scale. Over time, we’ve had the privilege of championing various community initiatives, ranging from sponsoring soccer tournaments to actively participating in community clean-up efforts. Now, we’re excited to extend our positive impact on communities and make a meaningful difference in the lives of budding cricketers in the North West.”

Ismail Minty, CEO of North West Cricket, expressed his excitement, stating that the federation is thrilled that Sunbake was able to equip the hub’s participants with top-quality cricket gear, allowing them to wholeheartedly pursue their passion for the beautiful game. He added, “As the official custodian of cricket in the North West province, we continuously strive to make cricket more accessible to all who have a keen interest in playing, and a sponsorship like this assists us in achieving our goal.”

“We understand that sports sponsorships – big and small – contribute to promoting, fostering, and encouraging greater participation which in turn influences a child’s overall growth, development, health, and wellbeing. In fact, it is one of the primary reasons we chose to partner with North West Cricket. And, as the Cricket World Cup kicks off in less than a week, we can’t help but get excited at the prospect that this hub could potentially produce the next generation of Proteas cricketers,” May concluded.
