Mr Zaka Ashraf, Chairman Management Committee PCB, hosted Pakistan Blind Cricket team and their officials today at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to honour the team winning Gold medal at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games 2023, held in Birmingham.
Pakistan Blind cricket team demonstrated skills and resilience in the IBSA World Games, emerging as the champions beating India twice in the tournament.
In the T20 format, in a five-team tournament, Pakistan remained unbeaten and defeated India, Bangladesh, Australia and England before clinching the medal by defeating India again by eight wickets on 26 August 2023.
In recognition of their remarkable success, Mr Zaka Ashraf, presented each player and official with a cheque of PKR three hundred thousand as a token of appreciation and encouragement for their continued dedication to the sport.
