Cricket Namibia is thrilled to unveil a landmark moment in cricket history, as we welcome Test Nation, Zimbabwe, to ‘The Land of the Brave’ for the very first time. The highly-anticipated Castle Lite Series will set the stage for an electrifying tournament between the Eagles and the Chevrons, Zimbabwe’s National Men’s team.
From 24th to 30th October, cricket enthusiasts will shift their focus to these African giants as they play five T20Is in what promises to be edge-of-the-seat cricket games at Wanderers and United Sports Ground.
The Eagles’ last encounter with the Chevrons in 2022 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo was a gripping series, the Eagles soared high, clinching a 3-2 victory.
Preparations for the Africa T20 World Cup Qualifier are underway, and this upcoming Castle Lite series is more than just a clash between the two countries. The series will also be a sneak peek for both teams in preparation for the Qualifiers in November. The Wanderers and United Grounds in Windhoek will be the venues where Namibia and Zimbabwe are among the seven countries vying for two golden tickets to the grand stage of the T20 World Cup in 2024.
Cricket Namibia invites the public to rally behind the Eagles and be a part of this exciting event. For our passionate cricket fans residing outside Windhoek, you won’t miss a single moment of this grand showdown.
