Perth Scorchers have added more international firepower to their batting stocks, signing experienced English batter Lauren Winfield-Hill for the Weber Women’s Big Bash League season.
The dashing English opener joins as an International Replacement Player after draftee and compatriot Danni Wyatt recently withdrew from the tournament citing fatigue.
She is expected to available for the opening six matches of WBBL|09, adding to a potent list of overseas signings that also includes skipper Sophie Devine (New Zealand) and wicketkeeper-batter Amy Jones (England).

Known for her versatility, Winfield-Hill can occupy multiple positions in the batting order, with her crafty batting style and composure at the crease set to play an important role in the Scorchers line-up in WBBL|09.
Winfield-Hill is a known commodity in the WBBL, with the 33-year-old clocking up 55 appearances in the competition across four clubs (Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars.
She is vastly experienced at the international level – having represented her country on 104 occasions (4 Tests, 55 ODI and 44 T20I), compiling 1948 runs including six half-centuries and a century.
