Sydney Sixers star Alyssa Healy has provided an update on her late withdrawal from the Sixers clash with Sydney Thunder on Sunday afternoon.
Healy injured her hand in an accident at home on Saturday night, undergoing surgery on Sunday morning.
Speaking to media on Monday morning, Healy said:
“I’ve got two puppy dogs who were having a little rough and tumble, and unfortunately I got my hand in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“We’re still friends. We all sat on the couch together last night and debriefed the situation and we’re all getting along fine.
“Surgery all went well. I’ve got a few appointments in the next few days and should know more by the end of the week.”
An update on Healy’s expected timeline for return will be communicated later in the week.
