Two of Cricket NSW’s talented female Basil Sellers Emerging Player Program scholars, Lauren Kua and Frankie Nicklin, have been selected to take part in a week-and-a-half overseas experience with high-performance partners Auckland Cricket Association.

The pair are scheduled to train with the Auckland Hearts and play in the Auckland Second XI program, at iconic venues including Eden Park and Lloyd Elsmore Park.

Kua, who captains Manly Warringah’s first-grade team in the NSW Premier Cricket competition, recently skippered NSW Metropolitan to the U19 Female National Championships (U19 FNC) title.

Nicklin was the U19 FNC leading wicket-taker with 19 dismissals, along with being named in the Team of the Tournament.

Cricket NSW prides itself on providing development opportunities that not only progress their athletes into becoming world-class cricketers, but also confident and capable individuals.
