Dear Members and Stakeholders,

I am writing to address several important matters concerning USA Cricket and our ongoing efforts to advance the sport in our country.

Firstly, USA Cricket has terminated the contract of the CEO, Dr. Noor Murad. This decision was made after careful consideration and is in the best interest of the organization. USA Cricket is working on recruiting its next CEO to help us build this organization to become the certified NGB for cricket in the USA. We are committed to making changes for the continuous improvement of the organization and cricket in the USA. We have demonstrated our commitment to this change by taking the first step in updating our constitution to meet the standards of the USOPC.

Secondly, I would like to reaffirm our commitment to transparent and fair selection processes across all levels of cricket. As we strive to build a strong and competitive national teams, it is imperative that our selection procedures remain robust and merit-based. In light of recent concerns raised, we are committed to addressing any discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of our selection processes. The latest Domestic Talent ID Pathway Handbook 2024 has been the touchstone document for Hubs and Zones since it was shared with Hub Coordinators in early January. Moving forward, we will ensure all selection procedures are posted to our website ahead of events.

Looking ahead to 2024, USA Cricket has an exciting lineup of cricketing events planned, including various domestic and international competitions. This includes significant events such as two back-to-back home T20I series with Canada and Bangladesh, followed up with ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, and the start of a new cycle of the Cricket World Cup League 2.
Continuing the 2023 initiative, the domestic pathways will be much more inclusive and intensive targeting developing young talent. We will also be continuing our High-Performance programs for Men, Women and U19 throughout the year to prepare them for future ICC events. It is essential for all members to align and support the organization as we work towards our shared goals of promoting and developing cricket in the United States. Your continued support and engagement are invaluable as we strive to elevate the sport to new heights.

As chairman, I take the full accountability for USA Cricket and on behalf of the board in delivering its responsibilities and abiding by constitution.

Thank you for your dedication to USA Cricket, and together, let us build a brighter future for cricket in America.

Sincerely,
Venu Pisike
Chairman
