Cricket Scotland is pleased to announce our schools cricket programme for the 2024 season, including the inspiresport Scottish Schools Cups and the Schools Week of Cricket.

The inspiresport Scottish Schools Cup programme has now increased to four cup competitions, with the Girls’ U15 T10 added to the Girls’ U18 and Boys’ U18/U15 T20 formats.

Entries have grown for the T20 competitions with Blairgowrie High School and Bell Baxter High School competing in the U15 Boys’ age group for the first time, whilst the new U15 Girls’ T10 competition has attracted 13 schools in its inaugural year.

Steve Butchart, Managing Director at inspiresport said: “We’re delighted to be associated with the Scottish Cups for this season. As the leading provider of sports development tours for schools and youth clubs in the UK, we are looking forward to being involved in such a great event and encourage young players to participate in such a fun and fantastic cricket tournament.

“We are excited to be leading the way in sport activation in our community, and we want to wish everyone involved in the competition the best of luck.”

Paul Macari, Cricket Scotland’s Head of Operations and Commercial, said: “It’s encouraging to see the growth of the competition particularly in the U15 age groups, with new high schools from around Scotland taking part.

“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with inspiresport for a second year, and look forward to many more young people enjoying an exciting summer of cricket.”

The competitions commence in April with finals day for the U15 cups on Friday 15 June and the U18 competitions on Saturday 16 June. All the draws can be found HERE.

Prior to these finals, Cricket Scotland’s Schools Week of Cricket will kick off on Wednesday 12 June at North Inch Park in Perth, with the primary school boys and girls six-a-side soft ball competitions.

These will be followed by the S1-S3 boys and girls eight-a-side soft ball competitions on Thursday 13 June.

For the first time ever, we will also be hosting a Schools Disability Cricket Cup, for both learning and physical disabilities, which will take place on Tuesday 11 June.

Registration remains open for these competitions HERE.
