Am I entitled to a refund?

Yes. Tickets that were purchased for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 are entitled to a full refund and will be processed automatically on to the original credit card used to purchase tickets. Any tickets that were purchased via EFTPOS or cash will need to request a refund by submitting an online Ticket Refund form and provide bank account information.

What if the credit card I used to purchase my tickets has expired or is no longer available?

Refunds will be transferred directly to your bank account. Submit the refund request form and provide your bank account information HERE.

What if I purchased tickets at a Venue Ticket Box Office or Ticketek Outlet?

Refunds will be transferred directly to your bank account. Submit the refund request form and provide your bank account information HERE. This includes any tickets that were purchased using cash.

When do I have to request the refund by?

Most refunds will automatically be returned to the original credit card that was used to purchase tickets. If your card has expired/no longer available or you bought your tickets at a Venue ticket Box Office or Ticketek Outlet, you will need to request a refund and provide your bank account information HERE.

The last day you may submit an online ticket refund request  is 15 December 2020

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds will be automatically processed and will be completed within 30 days from 07 August 2020.

For any online Ticket Refund Form submissions where bank account information has been provided, refunds will be processed within 30 days after submission.

If you have not received your refund after 30 days since you submitted your form, please fill out the online Ticket Refund form here and select the “I have not received my refund” from the refund option list.

Am I entitled to compensation for related travel and accommodation costs?

No. We are unable to compensate for any travel or costs associated with your attendance of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020.

Can I keep my tickets for the 2022 Tournament?

No. Tickets purchased via tickets.t20worldcup.com will automatically be refunded to the card that was used to purchase them.

When can I purchase tickets for the 2022 tournament?

If you haven’t already, register at tickets.t20worldcup.com to keep up to date with the latest information on when tickets will be available to purchase for the 2022 Tournament.

Why was the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 tournament postponed?

In response to the uncertainty around whether major sporting events with mass gatherings will be permitted in 2020 due to Covid-19, the International Cricket Council has postponed the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

This is a decision that benefits fans and increases the prospects of having passionate supporters of every competing team, from around Australia and Internationally, able to participate by attending matches.

Will social distancing measures be in place for the 2022 Tournament?

At this stage, we do not know what restrictions may still be in place for the rescheduled tournament, but we are planning for full stadiums.

The T20 World Cup will be taking recommendations from the relevant government authorities regarding safe practices for large group gatherings closer to the rescheduled event.

Will the same teams be playing in the postponed tournament?

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India will take place as scheduled in 2021, and all teams that qualified for the Australia 2020 tournament will gain entry to the event in India in 2021.

A new fixture and qualifying pathway for the postponed tournament in 2022 will be announced at a later date.
