The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

The National Development Corporation appreciated Mr. Naseeb Khan, CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), for his various achievements, notably in naming the National T20 Cup as Qosh Tepa. This naming decision has played a significant role in promoting a sense of national pride and evolving vital projects.

Abdurrahman Attash, head of the NDC, highlighted the positive impact of the game of cricket within and outside Afghanistan. He also praised the Qosh Tepa initiative and stated that it represents development, prosperity, and a promising future for the nation.

ACB CEO, Mr. Naseeb Khan, reiterated the importance of supporting major projects like Qosh Tepa across all sectors, including the game of cricket. He also expressed his pride and pleasure in the management of such projects that are being led by Afghans. In addition, he emphasized the need to support similar initiatives undertaken by the NDC.

Mr. Naseeb Khan further added, “We have represented various institutions, industries, and construction projects on the national level in the past as well. During multiple events in the recent past, we promoted the value and identity of Afghan currency, the carpet industry, and the precious stones of the country. In addition, we have recently appreciated and awarded the Futsal national team for their qualification to the upcoming Futsal World Cup 2024.

He also mentioned the ACB’s assistance during natural disasters and humanitarian crises, such as earthquakes, floods, and refugee returns to the country.

After the meeting, Naseeb Khan received a shield from Mr. Abdurrahman Attash, the head of the National Development Corporation, and an appreciation certificate from Mr. Ahmad Jan Bilal, Head of the Board of Government Corporations for his contributions in this regard.
