The Role

We are currently seeking to appoint a passionate Head of Cricket Victoria (CV) Foundation to drive the Foundation’s mission and purpose – harnessing the passion for Victorian cricket to make a positive impact on society.

Working closely with the Foundation’s Chair and Advisory Group, the Head of CV Foundation will source partnerships and prospective donors to generate investment opportunities for key Community Impact programs, while fostering a culture of philanthropy and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities include:

  •  Lead and oversee all aspects of the Cricket Victoria Foundation including donor sourcing, Community Impact program, partnership delivery and integration with Cricket Victoria business as usual.
  • Develop a sustainable fundraising strategy for the Cricket Victoria Foundation with an early emphasis on systems and strategy re Major Gifts; Private Ancillary Funds, Trusts & Foundations; Corporate Partnerships via Corporate Social Responsibility Programs.
  • Oversee active identification, stewardship and appropriate gift solicitation of major donors and benefactors.
  • Develop profiles, host functions and events and coordinate approaches.
  • Identify and engage commercial partners to increase scale of Cricket Victoria Foundation.
  • Support key activity areas in our community engagement program including participants who are blind and visually impaired, deaf and hard of hearing or have an intellectual disability.
  • Work in collaboration with the Community Impact Manager to deliver Cricket Victoria’s support program for the National Cricket Inclusion Championships and National Indigenous Cricket Championships.
  • Support the Community Impact Manager in the strategy and implementation of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement program to increase participation and cultural understanding and connection.
  • In collaboration with the Foundation Manager, develop a range of appropriate print and digital collateral.
  • Work with media and communications team to drive awareness across digital channels, mainstream media and local media.
  • Build and maintain an appropriate fundraising/community relations database on Salesforce.

About You

You’ll have experience in philanthropy and community impact strategies with a sound understanding of how to connect donors with our mission and purpose and drive investment. You’ll have an engaging communication style and excellent interpersonal skills that will assist in fostering strong working relationships with stakeholders. You’ll have exceptional organisational and management skills to support your ability to identify new opportunities and realise outcomes for Foundation and the people it supports. You’ll be highly motivated to bring the broader business along the journey in philanthropy and identify opportunities to collaborate.

To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:

  •  Tertiary degree in business, commerce, marketing or public health/recreation or demonstrated prior experience.
  • Prior experience managing teams and engaging in a Board/Committees and C suite environment
  • Demonstrated experience working in community impact or fundraising and advocacy environments
  • Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
  • Current Victoria Driver’s License
