We are currently seeking to appoint a number of casual Community Cricket (CC) Development Officers across Victoria ahead of the upcoming cricket season. The CC Development Officers will assist in organising, promoting and developing junior community cricket through clubs and associations and delivering school clinics and promotional programs.

We are seeking candidates to service the below metropolitan and regional areas:

  •  Melbourne (All metropolitan Melbourne plus Frankston, Mornington Peninsula, Cardinia and Casey areas)
  •  North West Victoria (Swan Hill, Echuca, Horsham, Ballarat, Gisborne, Bacchus Marsh, Ararat, Sunbury)
  •  South West Victoria (Geelong, Warrnambool, Hamilton)
  •  Northern Victoria (Seymour, Shepparton, Cobram)
  •  Gippsland (Leongatha, Traralgon, Sale, Bairnsdale)

Key Responsibilities include:

  •  Create linkages between all club and school programs and the W/BBL, leading to increase participation outcomes and the engagement and alignment of fans for the Melbourne Renegades/Melbourne Stars
  •  Provide assistance with Community Cricket events/programs including Woolworths Cricket Blast programs, Multicultural, Charity Matches, School Events, Teacher PD, Mascot Challenge, School Holiday Programs etc.
  •  Actively recruit and conduct clinics for Social Sixes participants
  •  Attend and provide guidance to Club based Woolworths Cricket Blast programs to improve the participant experience
  •  Deliver a range of cricket clinics and promotional activities in schools to increase the participation outcomes in the Woolworths Cricket Blast program by establishing links between schools and neighbouring cricket clubs
  •  Support the delivery of Growing Cricket for Girls funded programs across the region/s
  •  Deliver clinics at Specialist schools
  •  Actively work to increase the diversity of participants in the game

About You

You’ll demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as possessing an enthusiastic and engaging manner to motivate and instruct junior cricketers of all levels. You’ll have the proven ability to remain organised and deal with high pressure situations in a confident and calm manner. You’ll be proactive and

Programs will generally run between 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday, therefore casuals will need to be available during these times.

To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:

  •  High level of coaching and instruction ability
  • Valid Cricket Australia Community Coaching Accreditation (CCA) – must have completed a minimum of Introduction to Cricket or be willing to
  • Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
  •  Current Victoria Driver’s License
  •  Valid First Aid & CPR Qualification desired
