Purpose of the Role:

As the club continues to expand its portfolio of sponsors and partners, we are committed to enhancing our fan engagement, membership experience, and overall brand presence. To achieve these goals, we are seeking a driven and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team.

The Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day marketing activities of the club, focusing on both cricket products and venue marketing. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to deliver engaging fan experiences, oversee social media content, and ensure a seamless customer journey for our members and ticket holders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day Marketing Management:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for cricket products and venue marketing
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and analyse market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and execute a digital advertising plan
  • Develop and execute an email marketing plan
  • Protect, enhance, and further develop the brand in line with the Club’s vision and values

Matchday Fan Engagement:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of fan engagement activities during matchdays
  • Create memorable experiences for fans, enhancing their connection with the club
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of fan engagement initiatives

Social Media and Content Oversight:

  • Oversee the club’s social media channels, ensuring consistent and high-quality content
  • Line manage the Digital Communications Executive, providing guidance and support
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and follower growth

Membership & Ticketing collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Membership & Ticketing department to enhance the customer journey, while implementing strategies to increase membership and ticket sales

Data Management:

  • Utilise data analytics to inform marketing strategies and decision-making processes

Ensure accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of marketing data.

  • Develop data-driven insights to improve fan engagement, membership retention, and overall marketing effectiveness

Requirements

You will have:

  • Proven experience in a marketing role, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional fan experiences
  • Flexibility is key due to the nature of the business and the varied hours of work that come with it

The nature of our work and the size of our team here at Worcestershire County Cricket Club requires everyone to be flexible, motivated and an excellent team player.

You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to obtain this by the start date. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
