The cricket community in England and Scotland shared Eid greetings starting Sunday to mark Eid ul Adha.
There is strong awareness of Muslim holidays in the UK given the size of the Muslim population: about 4 million in England and Wales, and over 100,000 in Scotland.
But in the cricket world, the awareness is especially strong given the presence of Muslims on the England Men’s national team (Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid), and on the Scottish team (Safyaan Sharif).
So on Sunday, the greetings from the nations’ main organizations, as well as from county teams, started to flow:
