The PCA has today, Monday 8 July, announced a new partnership with sportswear brand Macron.

As part of the three-year partnership with the high performance company, Macron has become the new Apparel Partner of the PCA England Legends.

The Italian kit supplier create cutting edge sportswear for athletes from grassroots to the professional level and have committed to environmental sustainability as they aim to kickstart a connection with cricket in England and Wales, having already forged successful partnerships with Cricket West Indies and Cricket Ireland.

Up and down the country this year, from Banstead CC in Surrey to Edgworth CC in Lancashire, the PCA England Legends will be wearing the newly designed bespoke Macron kit against grassroots clubs.

The first outing of the new-look Legends ended in victory for Alex Tudor’s side with a six-run victory against Toft CC in Cheshire. The next game for the Legends sees them travel to Brentwood in Essex on 14 July.

Through the partnership recreational cricket clubs will be able to access a preferred rate for their teamwear.

The PCA England Legends would like to thank outgoing supplier Exito, who enjoyed a 13-year partnership in producing the Legends playing kit.

PCA Commercial Director, Rob Smyth, said: “We are delighted to be working with Macron as our newest playing kit provider for the PCA England Legends. The new kit designs look superb, and I can’t wait for recreational cricket clubs to see them over the season. I hope they are encouraged to use Macron for their kit needs in the future too.”

Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron said: “The partnership with PCA is very important for us. It allows us to support an organisation that is of high standing in the world of professional cricket and represents an important and vast community.

“The experience gained in recent years allows us to make available to everyone products of high technicality and quality and, at the same time, with a refined and elegant design. Having the possibility to dress the UK players and the PCA England Legends is very exciting. It allows us to increase further our brand’s already great visibility in a market that is fundamental for us.”

Richard Mansfield, Macron Sports Hub London, said: “Having the opportunity to partner with the PCA and the Legends programme is fantastic.

“The partnership demonstrates Macron’s progression in the cricket industry. We take enormous pride that our products are being used by international teams and leading clubs around the world. This further confirms the quality and reliability of the teamwear we supply to the growing number of clubs who choose to wear the Macron Hero on their chest.

“We look forward to working with the PCA and engaging with the cricket community across the UK from grassroots and the professional game.”
