About the Role
Key Responsibility is to develop a regional pathway system between NZC’s community and high performance women’s programmes across the New Zealand Cricket Network. This will be successfully achieved with strong communication and Relationship Management.
- Lead a robust assessment of the current national environment and within Major Associations, implement solutions
- Lead proactive and collaborative relationships with all Major Associations
- Play a key role in building New Zealand’s ‘end to end’ cricket system for women
- Support existing NZC Community and High Performance women and girls strategies
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a newly created role and influence the women’s cricket system to impact long-term, sustainable success.
Important to note, this role is NOT a coaching role.

Are you passionate about developing sports systems with a desire to contribute to the development of women’s cricket across New Zealand?
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment with a goal of high performance across all aspects to your work?
We’re seeking a dynamic, engaging and proactive individual with the ability to drive the women’s pathway system throughout NZ.
You will need to love working with people, a real team player that can build positive and effective working relationships across a system, and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders across the Major Associations.
You will be able to prove you have:
- Experience and knowledge of sports pathway systems
- Ability to connect with stakeholders and build relationships
- An intention to have a developed understanding of the New Zealand Cricket Network
- Experience in project-based workstreams and managing simultaneous priorities
- Ability to influence without direct control

The New Zealand national cricket team, known as the Black Caps, made their Test debut in 1930 against England in Christchurch, becoming the fifth nation to play Test cricket. After waiting 26 years for their first Test win against the West Indies in 1956, they also played their first ODI in 1972–73 against Pakistan.
