The Yorkshire Yorkshire County Cricket Club Limited (YCCC or Club) is delighted to announce the appointment of two new additions to its board of directors (Board).
Katherine Sciver-Brunt OBE and Karen Moorhouse have been appointed to the YCCC Board as independent non-executive directors this week (Tuesday, 23 July, 2024).
England and Yorkshire cricketer Katherine Sciver-Brunt, 39, is celebrated for her exceptional skill, longevity, and the significant impact she has had on women’s cricket, both in the UK and globally.
The right-arm seamer played 267 times for her country, taking 335 wickets across all formats before retiring in 2023.
In a career spanning 19 years, Barnsley-born Katherine won three World Cups, four Ashes series and was named England Women’s cricketer of the year on four occasions.
Domestically, Katherine played for Yorkshire, Yorkshire Diamonds, Northern Diamonds and Trent Rockets. She also represented Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League.
Former lawyer Karen has extensive experience in sports strategy, governance, regulation, inclusion and integrity across a range of sports.
Karen, 45, who grew up in a small hamlet on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is passionate about the influence sport can have on communities and individuals.
She has previously held senior sporting sector roles for the Rugby Football League, and now heads the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) as CEO.
Karen has also served on several boards, including as a non-executive director on the Board of the highly successful Rugby League World Cup hosted in the north of England in 2022, using her expertise to advise organisations on best practices relating to governance.

Leslie Ferrar, who has served as non-executive director and chair of the audit committee for the Club will be stepping down from her role on 31 July 2024. Leslie has served on the Board since May 2022 and the Board and everyone at the Club extends thanks to her for her commitment and efforts during a very challenging period for the Club.
