Social Media Producer – Big Bash Leagues (Fixed-Term 6 months)

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting time for us, as we enter a busy summer of cricket, we’re on the hunt for a creative Social Media Producer to join the Big Bash content team to power our social media channels through the most exciting period of the year. If you consider yourself an innovative content creator with an obsession for sport, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the Social Media Lead – Big Bash Leagues, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting with daily administration of the WBBL and BBL social media channels and execution of social media campaigns from ideation to publishing.
  • Producing innovative and creative content across each of the Big Bash social media channels to engage existing and prospective fans.
  • Offering insights and execution in helping the Big Bash sit at the forefront of CA’s Gen Z-focused audience-growth strategy.
  • Working collaboratively with other functions of the business, in particular offering support to the broader social media team on other CA-owned channels.
  • Collaborating with each of the Big Bash clubs for opportunities of mutual benefit to drive broader engagement with the competitions.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a digital content and/or communications team and managing social media communities.
  • Ability to think quick and interpret key moments as potential content opportunities, capturing high-quality content on the fly.
  • Highly proficient using Adobe editing products such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong written communication skills, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • An excellent knowledge of cricket.
  • Willingness to work evenings / weekends / public holidays when necessary.

Providing previous video or design work will be looked upon favourably.
