USA Cricket: USA Team announced for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) League 2

The Men’s Senior National Selection Panel of USA Cricket (USAC) has chosen a 15-player squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) League 2 ODI Series in the Netherlands scheduled from 11th August to 21st August. This leg of CWC League 2 comprises of six ODI matches where Team USA will compete against the Netherlands and Canada twice. Following this, they will face the same opponents in a T20I series starting from 23rd Aug onwards.

USA Squad for CWC League 2 ODI & T20I Series:  

ODI Squad: Monank Patel (Captain), Aaron Jones (Vice Captain), Smit Patel, Abhishek Paradkar, Harmeet Singh, Juanoy Drysdale, Jasdeep Singh, Milind Kumar, Nosthusha Kenjige, Saiteja Mukkamalla, Steven Taylor, Shayan Jahangir, Shadley Van Schalkwyk, Utkarsh Srivastava, Yasir Mohammad.

T20I Squad: Monank Patel (Captain), Aaron Jones (Vice Captain), Andries Gous, Abhishek Paradkar, Harmeet Singh, Juanoy Drysdale, Jasdeep Singh, Muhammad-Ali Khan, Nitish Kumar, Nosthusha Kenjige, Saiteja Mukkamalla, Steven Taylor, Shayan Jahangir, Utkarsh Srivastava, Yasir Mohammad.

Ravi Timbawala, Chair Of USAC Men’s Senior Selection Panel, said: “Following the remarkable success of the USA Men’s team in advancing to the Super8 Round of the ICC T20 World Cup, our attention is now directed towards the 2024-2026 CWC League 2 cycle. With an array of ODI Cricket matches scheduled in the upcoming months, our aim is to carefully integrate a blend of experience and youthful talent into the team. Given our secured spot in the T20 World Cup 2026, it is imperative that we undertake thorough preparations by nurturing emerging players and expanding our player pool.”
