Role Summary

We are seeking two aspiring Strength & Conditioning Coaches to be part of the 2024 Auckland Cricket Strength & Conditioning Internship Programme. The internship will run from 1 October 2024 – 31 March 2025, with hours being flexible to fit around study or other commitments. However, we expect each intern to be available for roughly 10 hours per week, with the exact details to be confirmed with the successful applicants.

These are paid internships, with the hourly rate being between $25-30 depending upon experience.

The programme will provide an opportunity for interns to observe, practice, and grow within a professional cricket setting, supporting both the men’s and women’s high performance programmes.

The opportunity will allow the interns to further develop their confidence and industry skill sets to assist progression into a career in strength & conditioning. Successful applicants will build on their underpinning knowledge and generic competency skills, using an experiential based learning approach that is mentored and facilitated by their intern manager.

Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for people who have a passion for strength & conditioning, good communication skills and an ability to develop successful relationships. Ideally applicants will have or be studying towards a sport science or related degree, or have other practical experience in the fitness industry.
