JOB TITLE: Customer Growth Executive
LOCATION: Glamorgan County Cricket Club (“GCC”), Sophia Gardens, Cardiff
REPORTS TO: Commercial Sales Manager
SALARY: £28-30k
Job summary
The Customer Growth Executive
• will grow and nurture GCC’s community customer base, including, but not limited to cricket clubs, community groups, schools, universities and colleges, residential groups – according to the latest market segmentation within the annual sales plan set out by the Commercial Sales Manager
• will sell the full portfolio of GCC’s ticketed events (including international & domestic match tickets, Sophia Gardens’ own events and others) in accordance with the annual sales plan prepared by the Commercial Sales Manager
•will develop GCC’s Community links alongside the existing cricket Community Department (which undertakes a range of supporting activities)
• will work closely with the Commercial Sales Manager and other members of the commercial team
•Develop and leverage affiliate partnerships with local businesses to help grow GCC’s audience.
Nature and scope of the role
• Playing an active part in the team, including collaborating and ideating on the different aspects of GCC’s engagement with select groups (corporate network, sponsors, members, etc).
• Proactively develop creative and innovative ideas on how we can grow audiences at Sophia Gardens.
• Use and interpret audience data to inform the sales approach and suggest potential growth opportunities.
• Grow the GCC database
• Ideation, creation and ongoing management of networks of affiliate sellers (eg. Students) to support our ongoing growth.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key community groups and leaders with a commercial lens.
• Assist in the development of an annual sales plan for GCC’s ticketed events (including but not limited to international & domestic cricket ticket sales, Sophia Gardens’ owned events and select 3rd party events)
• Assist the sales team in their interactions with ECB’s Hundred sales team and their development of a Hundred sales plan
• Delivery of the sales plan, including:
o Scheduled visits to community groups (in collaboration with the existing programme of events run by the community department)
o Development and delivery of remote sales plans (telecalling/e-mail etc)
o Attendance at networking events
o Development and leveraging of the Club’s university networks
o Development and leveraging of the Club’s community group network
o Development and leveraging of the Club’s customer database (eg. Groups)
• Identify key companies or organisations for strategic affiliate partnerships. Working with the Commercial Sales Manager to develop and leverage these to assist GCC’s customer growth.
• Detailed sales reporting against targets and sales plans, including an analysis of the effectiveness of the different tactics employed.
