Do you have demonstrable experience within the musculoskeletal and/or sport setting?

Are you a highly motivated, approachable and empathetic individual with the ability to build relationships and positively influence stakeholders?

Do you have strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to work under pressure?

If the answer is yes to these questions, we would love to hear from you.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Somerset County Cricket Club, to join our Sport Science and Medicine team. We are looking to recruit a Girl’s Pathway and Assistant Physiotherapist.

You will be responsible for delivering first-class physiotherapy and rehabilitation support to our girl’s pathway cricketers to ensure optimal injury management, recovery and return to play. By collaborating closely with the Strength & Conditioning and wider Sport Science and Medicine team, you’ll maximise the physical capabilities of our pathway cricketers, as they develop towards becoming professional cricketers. You will also be confident in managing your own case load to drive the girl’s pathway provision forwards while being committed to professional development.

Amongst other essential criteria, you’ll need to have a BSc or MSc Physiotherapy Degree and be a member of the HCPC and CSP. You’ll also have demonstrable experience within the musculoskeletal and/or sport setting.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be approachable, reflective and empathetic with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively. You are organised, diligent and motivated. You can work under pressure and have strong decision-making capabilities.

Given the nature of the role, any appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. If no ECB DBS is already in place, this check will be carried out by the Club.

Please note that working hours will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays, along with domestic and potential international travel.

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK.

In return, you’ll be joining a team who values everyone’s contribution. You’ll receive a competitive salary, access to health benefits and employee assistance programme, continued professional development support, free parking and more.
