Dream11, India’s leading fantasy gaming platform, has launched a new advertising campaign, ‘Poora Fan Bano’, ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.

The campaign encourages cricket fans to support the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, highlighting that true cricket fans back all forms of the game, regardless of who is playing.

In the series of advertisements, Indian men’s cricket team captain Rohit Sharma is featured alongside Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and star batters Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues.

The ads emphasize that “Aadha” (half) supporters only follow men’s cricket, while genuine cricket fans, or “Poora” fans, also cheer for the women’s team. The fans in the ads are portrayed by digital content creators Aakash Gupta, Ravi Gupta, and RJ Kisna, with Rohit Sharma urging viewers to support the Indian women’s team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Vikrant Mudaliar, Chief Marketing Officer of Dream Sports & Dream11, stated, “With Poora Fan Bano, we’re encouraging fans to embrace the full spectrum of Indian cricket. As the world’s premier fantasy sports platform, Dream11 is committed to growing multiple sports across men’s and women’s competitions. We strongly believe that the talent and dedication of both our men’s and women’s teams deserve equal support. We hope this campaign inspires cricket lovers nationwide to cheer for the Women’s Cricket Team, reinforcing our belief that sports truly is for everyone.”

The campaign features humorous interactions between fans and players from the Women’s Cricket Team, alongside Rohit Sharma, set in various scenarios. Through light-hearted situational comedy, Rohit reminds viewers about the upcoming Women’s World Cup and encourages them to support the Women’s Cricket Team as true cricket fans.

Dream11 has had a long-standing partnership with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and has been the main sponsor of India’s Women’s and Men’s National Cricket Teams since 2023.

The campaign was conceptualized and produced by Tilt Brand Solutions and Studio Q.
