Stadium Events Manager 
Full Time, Permanent 

We are excited to be looking for a Stadium Event Manager to join the  team at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket. You’ll be responsible for for major and minor event planning and delivery throughout the cricket season. Events will include International Cricket, T20 fixtures, Hundred Ball fixtures, County Championship, One day cricket, Concerts, out ground cricket and any other outdoor events.
The role will be the main point of contact for allocated stadium events held on site, as well as at out grounds, and will ensure that all events are delivered to meet the needs of the organiser in an efficient, safe and guest focused environment in liaison with the Operations Team.
Projects will form an important part of the role and will involve the management of contractors / suppliers and liaison with other departments within the club.
Supporting the Head of Stadium Events, the role will deliver the events P&L and capital projects list to agreed budgets.

Key Responsibilities

•    Event management planning, coordination and delivery of major and minor stadium events
•    Design and produce working site plans for events
•    Chair planning meetings and take minutes, where allocated
•    Work closely with the relevant departments such as Safety, Facilities, Ticketing, Catering and Guest Services to deliver exceptional events and guest experiences
•    With the Safety Team ensure the relevant documents are compiled in relation to each event
•    Create match briefs for allocated matches and deliver briefings where required
•    Produce and manage a P&L for each major event
•    Incorporate sustainable practices into event planning and execution, overseeing the delivery of a responsible event whilst considering the specific environmental Sustainable Development Goals
•    Match day management contact at domestic fixtures and out grounds.
•    Act as duty manager on a rotation basis based on fixtures
•    Support the delivery of sponsor / partner / ECB event activations
•    General administration duties related to Event and Projects
•    Work closely with the facilities team to ensure efficient site set up and de rig in relation to allocated events
•    Minimise queues and enhance queue experience throughout
•    Create innovative ways to enhance the Guest Experience
•    Liaise as required with external agencies including Safety Advisory Group, Police, Local Authority, SGSA and ECB
•    Deputise for the Head of Stadium Events where required, e.g in meetings where required, on site and when Head of Stadium Events is absent
•    Represent the Stadium Events team internally within the Club and in external meetings, including SAG and multi-agency meetings if required
•    Car Park management/administration
•    Requirement to work unsociable hours and weekends to manage and deliver events
•    Act as Bronze site cover on a rota basis
•    To attend any meetings, training sessions and courses that may be beneficial to you or your colleagues as required by the Head of Stadium Events and Operations Director

•    Cost Management and Budgeting
•    Support and deliver in conjunction with the Head of Stadium Events small building (Capex) projects
•    Procurement and management of contractors
•    Liaison with and support Lancashire Cricket commercial projects and operations

Essential Requirements

•    Qualified to degree level in a relevant events subject (desirable) or relevant industry experience
•    Willingness to achieve IOSH, NEBOSH, NVQ Level 2 & NVQ Level 4. (Company will pay for training)
•    Experience of working in a stadium or large event environment
•    Proven experience in managing successful operational events
•    Must be a creative problem solver who can identify solutions and address guest concerns efficiently and professionally while remaining calm under pressure
•    Safety management experience, credible knowledge of venue safety and security functions (desirable)
•    Strong teamwork, leadership, organisational and planning skills
•    Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the confidence and ability to present to groups from all disciplines and levels
