One of Australian sport’s most successful unions will continue for another three years after Homestar Finance extended their partnership as Principal Partner of Sydney Thunder.

The 3-year contract extension will see Homestar displayed on the front of the BBL playing shirt, cap and helmet. Homestar are also the club’s WBBL Official Partner, featuring on the back of the WBBL playing shirt, plus cap and helmet.

Homestar Finance has proudly supported Sydney Thunder, Western Sydney’s favourite sporting club, since 2017, bringing the partnership at the crease into a seventh season.

To celebrate the partnership, Homestar are giving back to cricket clubs across the Thunder Nation by donating six cricket balls per every six hit by a Thunder player this season.

Homestar are further getting behind Thunder for the Sydney Smash blockbuster on December 21, 2024 by donating twelve cricket balls per six hits by a Thunder player. Last season Homestar donated more than 300 balls to 17 community clubs across the Thunder Nation.

At Thunder matches at ENGIE Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park, Homestar will be the presenting partner for the revamped innings-break lighting show. Homestar will also continue to be the naming rights and proud supporter of Thunder’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island T20 Cup Team.

Sydney Thunder General Manager Trent Copeland expressed his enthusiasm for Homestar’s decision to renew its partnership with the club.

“We are tremendously proud to have Homestar Finance continue strengthening the already strong relationship with Sydney Thunder, both on and off the field,” he said.

“Homestar’s highly regarded reputation for prioritising its customers through personalised service aligns perfectly with our respect for Sydney Thunder members, supporters and the community of Western Sydney.

“This has been a long-term partnership and there is no doubt Homestar are an integral part of our fabric, as evidenced by their commitment to cricket club’s in the Thunder Nation, our match day experience at ENGIE Stadium and so many other initiatives.”

Ilias Pavlopoulos, Co-founder and COO of ColCap Financial Group, said:

“Sydney Thunder is committed to giving back to the communities it serves. Our enduring collaboration has provided opportunities to support a variety of local initiatives, from community days to volunteering time and charitable donations.

“Cricket embodies our shared values of sportsmanship, inclusivity, and teamwork. By partnering with Sydney Thunder, we can promote these values nationally while contributing to the sport’s growth for both women and men, ultimately enriching local communities.”
