In a move to strengthen the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as a key pillar of Pakistan’s cricketing success, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has assigned Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer the critical task of increasing revenue streams for the flagship T20 league.
As the PSL undergoes significant structural and operational changes, Usman Wahla is emerging as a top contender for the role of PSL Director. Renowned for his administrative expertise and past contributions to cricket operations, Wahla is expected to bring strategic vision and professionalism to the league’s management.
A key development in the league’s governance is the proposed amendment to the PCB Constitution. This change will enable the establishment of a dedicated PSL Secretariat, designed to operate independently and focus exclusively on the league’s growth and operations.
The Secretariat’s autonomy aims to simplify decision-making, reduce bureaucracy, and ensure smooth operations, including player auctions and event execution.
Further enhancing the PSL’s operational infrastructure, the PCB has announced the creation of a dedicated PSL office within a newly constructed building at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This facility will act as the administrative hub for the league, reflecting its growing stature and the PCB’s commitment to professionalizing its operations.
