The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly decided to hold the PSL 10 Player Draft in Pakistan, ending earlier discussions about hosting the event overseas.
According to Pro Pakistani, sources state that the draft for the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will take place in the country, reflecting the PCB’s commitment to celebrating the landmark edition of its premier T20 tournament on home soil.
While there was initial consideration of a neutral venue to enhance global appeal, the PCB, after consultations with franchise owners and stakeholders, opted for a domestic location. This decision aligns with the board’s efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s cricket ecosystem and reaffirm PSL’s reputation as a leading global T20 league.
Karachi and Lahore are currently considered the top contenders to host the draft.
The PCB is collaborating closely with franchises to ensure a smooth and exciting draft process. Efforts are underway to attract top international players while continuing to spotlight Pakistan’s emerging talent. The board aims to leverage the PSL’s growing global stature to create a memorable experience for fans and participants alike.
The PSL 10 draft is scheduled for January 11, promising high-profile international signings, intense franchise rivalries during the draft, and the anticipation of which local and foreign stars will headline the teams this season.
