We are seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Head Coach for our U19 Cricket Team, a role requiring technical expertise, leadership, and a deep passion for cricket. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience, enabling them to provide valuable insights and mentorship to young players. This role demands a strong sense of national pride, a commitment to nurturing emerging talent, and the ability to foster unity and collaboration among players and staff. Emotional intelligence is key, as the Head Coach must model composure, self-control, and professionalism under pressure.

>> Main Job Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver the U19 team’s practice and match programs under the direction of the High Performance Manager
• Undertake one-on-one coaching of players in the Sri Lanka Cricket Player Pathway
• Travel with the U19 team on designated home and away tours
• Observe Sri Lanka Cricket U19 players in competitions whenever possible
• Provide written feedback on team and individual performances
• Collaborate with Sri Lanka Cricket High Performance staff and assist in selecting players for various programs
>> Required Qualifications & Experience
• Hold a Level 2 or higher Coaching Qualification
• Age 50 years or below
• Having played International or First-Class Cricket is an added advantage
• Experience working with U19 teams and below (both local and international)
• Willingness to spend time coaching at all levels of the Sri Lanka Cricket Player Pathway
• Exceptional planning, coordination, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• High-level interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and influencing skills
• Compulsory knowledge and expertise in technology in the modern game Strong work ethic is essential

In addition to working within the team environment, the U19 Team Head Coach should be prepared to work independently and irregular hours.
