The Melbourne Renegades have made one change to their 13-man squad for Wednesday’s clash with the Sydney Thunder at Canberra’s Manuka Oval.

Paceman Andrew Fekete comes into the squad, replacing all-rounder Nathan McSweeney.

Fekete joined the Renegades last week as a local replacement player for Mackenzie Harvey, who is now on duty with the Australian Under-19 World Cup team.

He previously played for the Renegades, debuting back in 2013, and has since represented the Sydney Thunder and the Brisbane Heat. Fekete has been on the edge of international selection in years past, having played for Australia A and been picked for the Australian Test squad for the since postponed tour of Bangladesh in 2015.

The Renegades will be looking to record their first win of BBL|09, as well as atone for their loss to the Thunder in the first match of the season in Geelong on 19 December.

Wednesday night’s match will be broadcast nationally on Channel Seven and Fox Sports.
