A brilliant knock from Hashmatullah Shahidi and a five-wicket haul from Dawlat Zadran gave Hazrat Ltd. Mis-e Ainak Knights a record-breaking win against Ahmadzai Amo Sharks in the 13th match of Etisalat Shpageeza Cricket League.

Having won the toss, Amo Sharks opted to field first looking for their first win in the tournament. They had a great start taking the important wicket of Mohammad Shahzad in the first over of the innings and Sediqullah Pacha in the fourth over. However, the tide shifted in the Knights’ favor as in-form left-handed batsmen Bahar Ali Shinwari and Hashmatullah Shahidi both scored half-centuries in an 88-run stand for the third wicket before Shinwari lost his wicket to off-spinner Juma Gul in the 12th over.

Shahidi on the other hand remained unbeaten scoring a fantastic innings of 82 runs as the Knights set a big target of 193/5 for the Sharks to chase in the second half.

In response, the Sharks could never gain momentum in their chase of 194 quickly losing wickets as Hazrat Ltd. Mis-e Ainak Knights’ bowlers shined to bowl the opposition out for just 62, one of the lowest in the tournament’s history. Dawalt Zadran and young Noor Ahmad were impressive of all with the former taking a five-wicket haul, including 4 wickets in his last over, giving away just 9 runs in total while the latter took two wickets.

Hashmatullah Shahidi earned the Man of the Match award for scoring his second half-century of the tournament while Zadran was adjudged as the stylish player of the match.
