A tremendous innings by Mr. Not Out Samiullah Shinwari, who chased an improbable 17 off last over ensured Ayobi Kabul Eagles clinch a memorable victory from the claws of defeat beating DFI Band-e Amir Dragons in a thrilling contest of Etisalat 4G Shpageeza Cricket League.

Earlier, Eagles skipper Rahmanullah Gurbaz won the toss and opted to field first in the 12th match of the tournament. DFI Band-e Amir Dragons lost the first three important wickets in the first 5 overs as Hazratullah Zazai, Usman Ghani and skipper Asghar Afghan were back to the pavilion. Ibrahim Zadran and Nasir Jamal built up the innings for the Dragons adding 97 runs for the fourth wicket ultimately helping their team posting 146/5 on board in their allotted overs.

In response, Ayubi Kabul Eagles lost wickets in quick intervals losing skipper Gurbaz, Sediqullah Atal , Rahim Mangal and Noor Ali Zadran, who scored a good knock of 27 before being run-out by Tariq Stanikzai. Samiullah Shinwari continued to bat brilliantly throughout as the wickets continued to fall regularly at the other end.

It was almost an improbable task at the end for the Eagles when they needed 17 off the final over when the debutant Bilal Sami was handed over the ball by Captain Asghar Afghan. Shinwari clinched the opportunity with both hands and scored the winning runs from the final ball of the innings to complete a memorable chase.

The next match will be played between Ahmadzai Amo Sharks and Hazrat Ltd. Mis-e Ainak Knights this afternoon.
