Ollie Davies starts season in red-hot form
Sydney Thunder young gun Ollie Davies struck 130 from 86 balls on Saturday, posting his fourth First Grade century during the first round of NSW Premier Cricket.
The 19-year-old, who missed much of last season with a wrist injury, hit 11 fours and seven sixes in his whirlwind knock for Manly-Warringah against Mosman in the One-Day fixture.
His innings helped Manly to 7/303 from their 50 overs which secured a 200-run win.
Davies joined the Thunder Nation in July 2019 on a two-year contract. He is also part of the NSW Blues squad as a rookie.
Among the other Thunder players in action on Saturday, pace bowling allrounder Nathan McAndrew took 3-23 from nine overs opening the Bankstown attack in their One-Day win over UNSW.
Sydney Thunder is set to open its tenth KFC BBL campaign on 5 December 2020 against the Melbourne Stars at the MCG, before playing its first game at Sydney Showground Stadium on 8 December 2020.
