ACB: Afghanistan players to participate in a training camp ahead of T20 World Cup 2021

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) affirmed that a ten-day preseason training camp will be held for the national team to prepare them for the T20 world cup which is held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October 2021.

The training camp will be located in Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Stadium and a private training academy, will commence on 16 September 2021 in Nangarhar province. The main focus of the camp will be on improving the fitness and other cricketing skills including bowling, batting and fielding, of the players. Moreover, the training camp is based on three sequences practice matches, fitness and conditioning exercises and skill-based practice sessions.

Afghanistan who is already qualified and scheduled for Super 12s round will play against India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and two other teams in the first round of the T20 world cup 2021.
