In the 9th match of Etisalat 4G Shpageeza Cricket League today, Ahmadzai Amo Sharks faced Ayubi Kabul Egales.

Ayubi Kabul Eagles’ captain’s marvelous batting set a gigantic total to the the opposition team which Amo Sharks fell short by 61 runs to chase.

Ayubi Kabul Eagles won the toss and decided to bat first. Their regular opening pair RahmanUllah Gurbaz and Noor Ali Zadran came out to open. They were up for a blistering start.

Noor Ali lost his wicket for only 12 runs but the captain stayed at the crease and fell one run short of this tournament’s first hundred getting run out for quick 99 off 50 balls trying to run the second run to reach the hundred mark. SamiUllah Shinwari made 44 and AzamtUllah Omarzai remaining unbeaten on 41 as they set a total of 224/5, the highest so far in the tournament. Yameen Ahmadzai, Abdul Wasi and Batin Shah took one wicket each for Amo Sharks.

Chasing this huge total, Ahmadzai Amo Sharks’ batsmen Darwish Rasouli made 73, Farhan Zakhel 37 and HayatUllah 17 in the losing cause. Ayubi Kabul Eagles have played three games so far and have won two and are placed 4 on the point table.

RahamUllah Gurbaz won the most sixes and man of the match awards while stylish player of the game award was given to Darwish Rasouli.

The 10th game of Etisalat 4G Shpageeza Cricket League will be played tomorrow between ACTU Speenghar Tigers and Daily Fresh International Band-e-Amir Dragons at 0900 while the 11th game of the league and second of the day will be played between Hazrat Limited Mis-e-Ainak Knights and Diva Group Bost Defenders at 1400 hrs.
