The defenders’ bowlers Sayed Shirzad, who was awarded man of the match award later, and Gulbadin Naib took three wickets each to defend 173 successfully as the Ayobi Kabul Eagles fell short by a considerable margin of 57 runs in the third match of the tournament.

Earlier in the day, the DIVA Group Bost Defenders put 172/3 in the allotted 20 overs with Imran Janat and Munir Kakar notching great knocks of 43 and 41 respectively. Ayobi Kabul Eagles’ Nangialay Kharoty, Zia ur Rahman Akbar and Farmanullah took one wicket each.

In response, the Ayobi Kabul Eagles could only manage 115 in 19.1 overs as Sayed Shirzad and Gulbadin Naib took three wickets each while Karim Janat took two.

Ayobi Kabul Eagles will face Hazrat Ltd. Mis-e Ainak Knights tomorrow morning in their second match of the tournament while the Defenders will face DFI Band-e Amir Dragons in the evening.
