Cricket Orientation and Awareness workshop was conducted for Afghan sports journalists from center and provinces at their 4th congress by Afghanistan Cricket Board.
But before the workshop and at the outset of the formal proceedings of the congress; ACB Chairman received appreciation and recognition award from for his brilliance at work and recent significant achievements.
Both ACB chairman Mr.Farhan Yousefzai and ACB Media Manager promised their continuous full support to the media.
Later during the workshop, ACB spokesperson Mr.Farid Hotak shared information about the background of international cricket as well as history of Afghanistan’s cricket. He also informed the congress about the national and international media’s engagement norms and regulations.
At the same time information about ACB administrative’s structure, recruitment, players’ selection, sharing information and cooperation with media, how to do radio and television commentary, local cricket plans and programs, how to do standard interviews with players, current status of cricket, how to prepare cricket news, coverage of the game, how to do research as a journalist to prepare news, international participation of journalists and other important issues were shared.
ACB officials responded to all the questions from the participants at the workshop. At the end, head of Afghanistan’s sports journalists and head of the federation Mr.Khoshal Taib thanked ACB and considered the workshop very important and effective.
