The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

Mr. Azizullah Fazli the Chairman and Member of the Afghanistan Cricket Board introduced new members to the Cricket Board at the press conference today.


The conference, which was conducted at ACB, welcomed Mr. Sayeed Jalal Karim, Mr. Haji Mehboob Seddiqi, Mr. Haji Obaidullah Sadr Khel, Mr. Abdul Rahman Alokozai, Mr. Haji Naimatullah, Mr. Mohammad Younis Mohmand and Mr. Azizullah Fazli and the rest two will be introduced soon. These members have been appointed by the chief minister of the government, Mr. Fazli said.
He further added that the Afghanistan team is all set and will take off on Wednesday for the United Arab Emirates to participate in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
In his speech, he also said that the financial  endowment (Sponsorship) of the national team for the World Cup is almost confirmed by an Afghan businessman for a cost of 450,000 US Dollars and the legal and regulatory principles will be completed near soon.

In conclusion, Mr. Fazli stated that some of our players of the national team are already in UAE  and some players are playing in the Everest Premier League (EPL) which is organized by a private group in Nepal. They will soon join the team in the United Arab Emirates.
