ACB discuss bilateral ties with BCB

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

An ACB delegation led by Chairman Mr. Mirwais Ashraf met top management officials from Bangladesh Cricket Board and discussed various aspects of bilateral ties including but not limited to matches for senior men’s teams and technical support between countries.

Both parties agreed to arrange bilateral cricket series for the age-level teams on regular basis. The parties have also discussed more bilateral cricket including multi-format series between both countries on home and away basis in the future.

Besides this, Bangladesh Cricket Board has expressed pleasure in hosting Afghanistan’s home games in Bangladesh, when possible. The BCB has also shown great interest in providing technical support to Afghanistan in any required area.

Concluding the meeting, the Afghan delegation has thanked their BCB counterparts for hosting and providing excellent facilities for the National team of Afghanistan and expected deep-rooted relationships with them.
