His appointment as a board member is a step in the right direction as it will help ACB strengthen its bilateral cricketing relations, find sponsors and other important affairs in India, which,in addition to the UAE ,serves as one of the countries where team Afghanistan play their home matches and where Mr. Mamundzai currently serves as the Honorable Ambassador of Afghanistan.
It shall be noted that the decision to relieve senior player Mohammad Nabi from his duties as a Board member was taken considering Afghanistan’s upcoming important and busy international calender where he will play a vital role as the senior-most all-rounder for the National team.
