ACB grants BMA ground branding rights for Ireland series

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) today granted Bank-e-Millie Afghan (BMA) the Ground Branding Rights for the upcoming home all-format series against Ireland.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing event took place today at the ACB’s central office, which was attended by ACB CEO Mr. Naseeb Khan and BMA CEO Dr. Shakir Jalali, and marketing officers from both organizations.

Mr. Naseeb Khan, ACB CEO, underlined the positive outcome of ACB’s negotiations with BMA and highlighted the importance of having a commercial partner from the banking sector. “We are pleased to welcome BMA as a partner for the Ireland Series. We look forward to fruitful & long-term collaboration with them in the future,” stated Mr. Naseeb Khan.

Dr. Shakir Jalali, CEO of BMA, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership with ACB and looks forward to it as a promising beginning. “It’s a good beginning for the BMA to enter a partnership with the ACB and Afghanistan National Cricket Team. We aim to develop and strengthen this partnership for the long term,” added Mr. Jalali.

In addition to BMA, Etisalat Afghanistan Telecommunication Company and Super Cola Beverages Manufacturing Company are also ACB’s commercial partners for the Ireland series, which is scheduled to be held from February 28 to March 18 in the UAE.
