The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced the start of the “Rahmat Wali” Emerging Cup, which will commence this Saturday in Kandahar. The event will feature four teams of emerging-level cricketers who have excelled at domestic and national-level events.

The event is being conducted to prepare Afghanistan Emerging Cricketers who may represent the Afghanistan Emerging Team in the forthcoming ACC Emerging Teams’ Cup, which will be held in July this year.

All four teams competing will compete in a double round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final on May 20 at Kandahar Cricket Stadium. Zwan Atalan, Hewad Satoonki, Abaseeb Zwanan, and Mahipar Stars are the names of the four teams participating in the event.

The Rahmat Wali Emerging Cup was recently added to the domestic cricket structure, which includes 12 other tournaments, including age-group competitions and two regional events for people with disabilities.
