The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

The 10th edition of the Najeebullah Tarakai Regional PwDs T20 Tournament is set to begin on June 10th, 2022. The event features 5 regional teams which are scheduled to compete in a round-robin format from June 10-17 in Khost province.
 
A total of 13 games will be played in the tournament across 8 days from June 10 to 17. Mis Ainak, Band-e-Amir, Amo, Bost and Speen Ghar are the 5 regional participating teams that will play once against each other in the round-robin stage, with the top 4 advancing to the semi-finals.

The Mirwais Nika Regional three-day event is the 4th of many domestic events that are included in the domestic cricket plan for the year and will be followed by first-class and List-A events later in the year.
