A training camp for 26 U19 Players started in Kabul to form and prepare Afghanistan U19 Team for the upcoming competitions. The two-week camp will conclude on 9th August and will focus on preparing the National U19 camp for the upcoming series against Bangladesh as well as the U19 Asia Cup and The 2022 edition of ICC U19 Cricket World Cup.

The players were selected for the camp based on their performance in the last one and half years and successfully going through the minimum Yo-Yo fitness Test standard of 17.1.
The training camp for the U19 players consists of two phases which will conclude in the selection of the National U19 team ultimately. The players for the second phase will be selected based on the fitness and performance of the players in the first phase of the camp.
Afghanistan U19 is scheduled to play five 50-over and one four-day match against Bangladesh later this year. The National U19 is slated to participate in U19 Asia Cup in December and the ICC U19 World Cup in January-February 2022.
