Tickets are now on sale for every Weber WBBL|08 and KFC BBL|12 match, with entry-level prices remaining unmoved from pre-pandemic rates at all ticketed venues.

Big Bash matches are summer’s best fun, family entertainment events, with colour, music, dancing in the stands and world class cricket on the field.

Local stars Darcie Brown, Alex Carey, Travis Head, Tahlia McGrath, Megan Schutt and Amanda-Jade Wellington will all take the field for the Strikers this season following remarkable runs on the international stage.

Dual Ashes triumphs, a World Cup title and inaugural Commonwealth Games gold medal headline the prolific summer of cricket for Australia, with home grown South Australian and Strikers stars front and centre.

Fans can expect to see thrilling T20 cricket across South Australia and beyond, including a WBBL return to the Barossa and regular BBL marquee clash at Adelaide Oval to usher in the new year.

SACA CEO Charlie Hodgson is eagerly anticipating the return of Big Bash cricket to South Australia.

“The summer of cricket is rapidly approaching, and I can’t wait to see two of the world’s leading T20 competitions back in action. Our WBBL and BBL Strikers are extremely exciting teams who play an attacking brand of cricket, built on international and local stars, so every fan who comes to our games is going to have a great time.

“Adelaide Oval and Karen Rolton Oval will showcase the best in sports entertainment this season, with the atmosphere at both, as well as our WBBL home fixture in the Barossa, sure to be electric as our amazing fans support our charge throughout the summer months.”

Strong schedules for both competitions have been backed up by a focus on affordability, with Strikers fans who get in quick to purchase tickets being rewarded with early bird pricing specials, making Big Bash matches even more accessible to first time and returning supporters within South Australia.

Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s General Manager, Big Bash Leagues, said:

“One of the Big Bash’s founding principles was providing affordable entertainment options to families over summer. We’re proud to continue playing our role in this as we release tickets to the public for this summer’s Weber WBBL|12 and KFC BBL|12 seasons.

“The League and all clubs are conscious of the pressures on families and the wider community at present. As we encourage all fans to return to the Big Bash following covid-impacted seasons, we have focused on ensuring our events remain high quality on and off the field, while remaining affordable for all.

“We can’t wait to see our fans in stadiums around the country enjoying the very best of the Big Bash this summer.”
