Strikers wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey has been retained in the Australian ODI squad for the upcoming home Gillette ODI Series against New Zealand.
Limited-overs vice-captain Carey is currently in South Africa ahead of the three-match ODI series against the Proteas beginning on Saturday.
The 14-player squad will then return to Australia in early March ahead of the first ODI against New Zealand at the SCG on 13 March.
The three-match series against the Kiwis wraps up in Hobart on Friday, 20 March
